Good morning! Here at On Repeat, we have a few traditions. We play Jimmy Buffett’s ‘Volcano’ on May 18th. July 4th means it’s time for John phillip Souza’s ‘Stars and Stripes Forever.’
And Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving means it’s time to dust off Arlo Guthrie’s ‘Alice’s Restuarant.’
Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today!
Here’s to you having a fantastic day, in whatever form that might take.
Got a team playing? I’m rooting for ‘em.
Gonna be at work (like I will be)? Here’s to an easy/safe shift with coworkers that fill the breakroom with good side dishes.
Either way, I’d love to hear how you’re spending the day! Chime in below.

P.S. Playing this song on T-day is about as close as I get to having any kind of Thanksgiving holiday traditions. Here’s a quick read on the song’s background, and why you’re likely to catch it on the radio today.
I alway play Alice's Restaurant when I prepare the holiday meal since he captures the time and holiday so well. I cheated yesterday and played it when I was baking. I will do it again today. My husband was working in that area of the state when an old man pulled him aside and pointed. "That's where Arlo dumped the trash," he told him.
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving if we didn’t listen to this song!
