Cheatahs are a London-based band, with members hailing from Canada, Germany, and the U.S. Their swirling guitars and layered sound draw heavily from Shoegaze pioneers, like Swervedriver and Ride. Don’t let that label fool you, though; this track goes into the corners fast.
From the band’s Nathan Hewitt:
Our policy is if it sounds good to us then that’s what we end up with. I feel like each song kind of needs its own special treatment, and whatever production serves the song, then that’s what works. Lots of bands play it safe and have a distinctive sound on every song, but I like a bit of dynamic when it comes to production.
