Happy Monday and a special shoutout to all of you that joined us over the weekend!
Today we’re listening to “The Pressure” by Delta Spirit
Today’s pick is the opening track off of the band’s 2020 release, “What Is There?” Originally from San Diego, the band has what NPR’s David Hye once referred to as a “trashcan-smashing sound.” I recently had a chance to pick the record up, and it stayed on my turntable for quite a while. The entire album sees the group playing a more refined style, but with as much energy as ever.
Haven’t had enough coffee yet? This’ll help.

Great track! 👏 Thanks to you, and it, I've just realised, that I have a sweet spot for songs with "pressure" in title... "Under Pressure" by Queens, "The Pressure" by The Cranberries, "Pressure To Party" by Julia Jacklin - all of them are on my all-time favorite list.
I tagged what is there and will link to it on my post I drop in a few hours, so perfect for this desolation
