OK... wow... first off how did I know Drop Nineteens were releasing new material right after I mentioned them in your Comments section on Monday? And second... wow!
Hey Hozier!! I am BEYOND EXCITED about this, didn't realize Greg was up to anything after Drops!! I'm so on Cloud Nineteen about this, I'm archiving this post and will come back again and again. Maybe even write my own article although of course it won't be as good as any of your On Repeats.
I was friends with their [last] lead guitar player, Justin Crosby, before they broke up [the first time in 95]. Met him when he was working at head shop in Ithaca, NY around 2000... as most people did back then, he moved on to electronic music at that point... though he also played drums, which he left at my house so I could practice... which I never did — recorded like 3 shitty songs before moving back to NYC. Ahh...memories...

It's probably really obvious, but I am very very excited for this upcoming record!

P.S. Hot Rod forevah!!
Thanks for the kind words! You should totally write one; I know a cool little publication that would publish it in a heartbeat. :)

Nice! That's a heckuva a story. You guys still in touch at all?
You always have these wonderful stories with the music you share.
Liked the music, too!
Thank you Arjan! I'm glad you kike them. :)
This is lovely, looking forward to going back to their early catalog and to the new release when it drops. Thanks for this!
You bet! Going back to/through their catalog was a fun rabbit hole this week!
This is a band I completely missed. Investigating Delaware is on my list for the near future.
I think you'll like it. Would love to hear your thoughts once you get some time to give it a listen.
