Any time there is an On This Day post or a record hitting a specific milestone, I puff my cheeks a little, exhale, and am reminded of how fast time is screaming by.
Huey Lewis and The News’ Sports! is turning 40, and as much as I wanted to work in a quote here from American Psycho (a movie itself almost old enough to rent a car), I couldn’t decide on one.
The truth is I have a weird relationship with this record. My first ever concert was seeing the band with Bruce Hornsby & The Range opening. My dad surprised me with tickets, and we joined a couple of his coworkers. This was 1986; they were all computer programmers—and I wanted to be one.
