Welcome to another edition of For The Record, a good old-fashioned link drop and benefit for paid supporters of On Repeat. If you’re ready to become one, we’d be thrilled to have you!
As a reminder, On Repeat is 100% reader-funded. And as always, there are 7-day trials for anyone looking to test the waters.
This week, we’ve got news on Bandcamp, Grimes, Guns N’ Roses, Wilco, and U2.
All of that and a LOT more (like, a lot lot).

We were there to see Peter Gabriel. It had been seven years since we last saw him (also in Milwaukee). The last time was at Summerfest, where I sweated through a fantastic outdoor show co-headlined with Sting.
While that was very much a “play the hits” night, this time around, Gabriel focused on tracks from his upcoming I/O record. The concert was split in half, with two sets separated by an intermission. I try to avoid looking up previous dates on Setlist.FM, but I am also pretty good at breaking my own rules, so I had a good idea of what we were in for.
I also knew the guy next to us screaming for “Shock the Monkey” would go home disappointed.
