You know those newsletters that start with a somber title like “a programming note” or “an update.” Or something particularly ominous, like “some personal news?” Yeah, those. The one that set the stage for a writer to first cut their production before winding down completely. Sometimes, there’s not even a farewell. Only when you notice their absence a few weeks later do you realize there’s been an Irish goodbye.
