As most of you know, I work for an airline in real life. I’ve spent most of my adult life at one airport or another. But I’ve been fascinated by planes for as long as I can remember. I’m truly lucky to have forged a career out of it.
Every once in a while, aviation and music combine to create my favorite type of Venn diagram. That happened this past week as a petition was started to rename the Key West, Florida airport after Jimmy Buffett. Not only did the singer’s career really take off once he moved to the Keys, but he was also a pilot and owner of several aircraft.
Further, the airport is undergoing extensive remodeling, so now’s as good of time as any to incorporate some new rebranding.
I just hope they leave this up on the terminal:
