If you’re reading this, I’m pleased to tell you we’re still here. Our republic is down but not out. Not yet, anyway.
Despite the GOP’s best efforts, my adopted homesite is still standing. The RNC has once again overpromised and underperformed regarding its estimated economic impact, but Milwaukee is still standing.
I’m a little annoyed that the two things that have gone viral are Matt Gaetz almost getting his ass kicked and whatever this is. And why are we still waiting for the “Everyman in a Diner” interview? This is Wisconsin, for cryin’ out loud! It's a state purpose-built for this sort of thing.
Can’t win ‘em all, I guess. Could be worse.
While it might be too much to ask, I hope a couple of visitors came, had their minds blown by the electricity of the biggest city in America’s Dairyland, and took off with just a little more perspective than they landed with. We should be so lucky.
