Good Morning!
Today we’re listening to “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” by Kylie Minogue
Airlines used to hold what were called “interline” soccer tournaments. Interline in this context is an in-the-park way of saying “players/teams from many different carriers.” Air Malta used to host one annually, and in early 2002 our team somehow found ourselves playing soccer in the Mediterranean.
When we weren’t on the field, this song was playing everywhere- in clubs, out of storefronts, and in one especially terrifying cab ride I took through the streets of Valetta.
This is the lead single off of Minogue’s eighth studio album and was co-written by Cathy Dennis of D-Mob fame. Dennis herself had a hit with her remake of Fonda Rae’s “Touch Me (All Night Long).”
There is also a really good mashup of this and New Order’s Blue Monday. Check it out here.

Kylie was and always will be a class act in tastefully mixing pop, energy, and raw sexuality. These days, it’s a contest on how closely you can fly to the censorship sun without getting burnt. I swear, some music videos these days are just soft porn.
“Love At First Sight” is the one I still have on my happy (formerly workout) playlist.
