Deborah is an icon!

My very first memories of MTV are Never Say Never. Years before I learned the tenor sax thy showed me how cool it was in post punk. Girl In Trouble is my favorite from them.

Wow! Graham Parker and now Deborah Iyall? You are on a roll! Now I’m waiting for the Geddy Lee interview! The trifecta of artists who’ve largely influenced my musical tastes!;)

Lol. I should be so lucky! No spoilers, but I think you'll be happy to see what's coming up tomorrow.

Crazy to see the Ann Arbor connection. Great stuff, Kevin.

I remember watching their Bands Reunited episode in high school! And Debora's record store answer? 10/10.

It was one of my fave episodes in the series.

Yeah, they played J.B. Scott's in Albany in 1981. I started getting in there around '84 with a fake college ID but in '81 I was in middle school and although I was already 6 feet tall and punk rock hair and clothes helped disguise my age, I missed way too many gigs for my liking. Older kids downtown told me the show was amazing and I remember this as I was furious at not getting to go. I think I remember shows I missed just as much as shows I caught.

*check that. I caught shows there in '82. Burned down that year! I think that's where I saw the Knack and the Romantics?

lol. Funny how that works, isn't it?

Not a band I’m familiar with outside their bigger songs. Definitely gonna dig into them today on the train back home

It’ll make for a great soundtrack! :)
