Well, THAT was a diversion! How fun! Never heard of 'em before! Wonder what McDonald's reaction has been/would be/might be! They almost sound like Devo offspring, but far less electronically quirky. Self just "sticks to the script"---wonder how they'd sound if they focused on similarly time-worn covers...can we imagine "Rhiannon," "We Built This City," a Prince song or two, or "Jessie's Girl"? I know I'm intrigued, but I'm guessing they have no interest in being a group of Weird Als (assuming they're still around/active). Thanks, Kevin---a refreshing early-morning slap in the face not involving caffeine!βπΆπΉππ
And now for something completely different... nice find! I have to say as a massive Doobiehead I was hesitant going into it, but the children's instruments really work for the timeless melody. Miss the Michael McDonald of it all yet it's a refreshing update! Great cover to boot. Thanks for sharing!
As someone that may or may not have referred to Michael McDonald as a "national treasure," we're of one mind here. But I was pleasantly surprised once it got going.
Hi Kevin! I couldn't comment on your fabulous post today, so I'm writing it here. :) The Clueless Soundtrack, what a treasure! Also, have you seen the Flamin' Groovies live? OMG, blew me away!
Thanks for the kind words! Half the fun of writing that review was getting sidetracked with the Clueless Soundtrack. No Flamin' Groovies shows for me, I'm afraid. Have any set lists from their shows?

You're welcome, I think? lol.
Seriously, I'm glad you liked it. I wonder what McDonald thinks of it as well.
That was incredible! And I love the title--Gizmodgery. What a word!

Great question! I have a pic with them so I must have asked for it if they had one. Iβll check my set list binder today!
It is surprisingly good, indeed.
