Happy Monday!
Today we’re spinning “Jubilee” by Spyro Gyra.
The band formed in Buffalo, NY in 1974. Their unique sound is a gumbo of jazz, R & B and funk. The band had a decent hit with the title track off of 1979’s “Morning Dance” album. “Jubilee” is the 2nd song on the record. On a side note, this record got a lot of airplay in my house as a young kid.
The band is still together, and touring.
