I saw Pixies on Glasgow around 2011. They played the whole of Doolittle, and it was fine (I'm not a big fan of the Let's Play Our Classic Album In Full tours, they're a bit too fan service-ey and unnatural)
But then they came out for the encore and Kim talked about how they once had to abandon a Glasgow gig one time because the stage collapsed. So, for the encore, they played what would have been the setlist at that cancelled gig. The whole list.
Two Pixies shows for the price of one. It was very good value for money.
That looks like an incredible show. Three pioneering bands at the height of their powers. You'll always get a lot of Boston love for a Pixies reference or song. One quibble: I've always heard them referred to as Pixies (no "the", like Ramones) at least around here. Maybe they used "the" in some places and not in others. Who knows? Either way, great band!
It really was a great show. There's a lot of them I can't remember for, um, various reasons, but this one stands out clearly.
As for "the," I must've added/deleted the word 5-6x before I just went with it. We always called them "The Pixies." I know it's the correct title, but I couldn't get out of my own way. I've changed it now.
Ha! I didn't mean to be the grammar police. It's not like nobody knows who you're talking about if you use "the". It's just one of those things that music geeks (myself proudly included) like to debate

That's awesome! You definitely picked the right night to see them.

All good! As a fellow music geek, these are the kinds of weeds I like to wander out into. :)
It seems like mind-blowing experience to be there at that time 🔥🎶🤘
My fave by Pixies is predictable and obvious - "Where Is My Mind?". This song went with me through every single music device I've ever owned.
Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up where/when I did. I got to see some amazing shows that might not’ve happened elsewhere.
