'Sentimental Hygiene' is severely underrated (or maybe overlooked these days?) and combines my favorite band of all-time with one of the best songwriters the western world has ever seen. I agree that 'The Envoy' was a real stinker - it's missing hooks and Zevon's signature bite, and I think this organic reboot with Peter, Mike, and Bill helped set him back on the right bath. It's unfathomable how fruitful R.E.M. was during this early period, and making this and 'Document' in the same year is mind-blowing. Great pick. (If you don't have SH on vinyl, definitely find it. Typically has a low used price and sounds amazing compared to the streaming version.)
I saw him on this tour with X opening[a very pregnant Exene]. What a great night of music and my favorite Zevon album. X was touring 'See How We Are' my favorite album of there's. Thanks for jiggling that memory loose
I don’t host one, but I’m always open to being a guest on someone else’s.
A very Mellencamp feel here!

I always keep half an eye open for Zevon while crate digging. Haven’t had much luck lately, but this is now at the top of my list.
This and Bad Luck Streak in Dancing School seem to always be around. Grab what you can cos they all sound great on vinyl!

What a show that must’ve been! Man, I would’ve loved to have been in the crowd that night.
The only thing Warren Zevon's known for in the UK (unless it's just me!) is 'Werewolves of London'.
Now I'm going to have to dig deeper!
