Great intro and interview, as usual. You had me at one-man band, the main reason being I’m unashamedly very picky with vocals, and these brave standalone artists tend to have an incredible ear. Playing a bit now, and I wasn’t wrong. They always nail the vocals, every single time. Plus, I’m living for these synth vibes! Great stuff!

I'd recently downloaded the song Let You Down and loved it's mix of several 80s elements. I found it VERY reminiscent of Depeche Mode, New Order, and a bit of Shannon (Let the Music Play, Give Me Tonight) It's great to read about his influences and interests!

Now that you mention it, I can totally hear 'Let The Music Play' here.

I found discussion of Ableton Push in User Mode very interesting (and really liked 'Untitled'). Thanks :)

I'm happy to hear it! I'm also glad I wasn't the only one curious to hear more about his set up.

Never heard of him before, the album was fantastic!! Added to my 2023 Misses playlist as this feels like an album that would’ve made my AOTY last year if I’d heard it. Thanks for the intro! And the interview

Definitely one I wished I'd had on my radar as well! Better late than never, right?

Better late than never for sure!

Every year I compile a playlist of prior year misses and still go back to them fairly regularly. There are a handful of albums that legitimately would’ve been top 10 or 20 for me if I’d heard them in time.

Just way too much great music out there to expect to hear everything within a given year.

Finally worked my way through the recommended musical selections. Some hits, some misses for me. But Attic Eyes is fantastic and potentially another album that could’ve found its way into the AOTY discussion last year.

Awesome. I'm still working my way through it all. I was really excited to see all of these when he sent 'em over.
