This is exciting, thanks for sharing! Just joined Substack last weekend and grateful to writers like yourself exposing me to music I otherwise wouldn’t have heard of. Always looking for new ways to discover music, both new and old.
I enjoyed it, but only in an "it's alright" kinda way, not like an "omigod how did I never hear of this band!?!" way. But I often need repeated listens to more fully appreciate an album. I've added it to my "Substack Discoveries" spotify playlist. I'll dip back into it again from time to time and let you know if it grows on me.
Listening now - so smooth - getting compliments in the office.
I was just assigned an interview - with a stoner metal band - so that's my type! Do you or your readers/listeners know of Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs? These interviews are certainly expanding my musical horizons.
Yes it is - it's pretty ironic the bands being assigned to me. So rando, most I've never heard of, and yet I end up really getting into each one. Like PigsX7 - it's stoner metal!
Sounds cool! Will check them out. Already love the title: "After Summer". There's something intriguing about it.
I'd love to hear your thoughts after you get a chance to spin it!

Of course! That's what I'm here for. :)
Would love to know what you think after you've had a chance to give it a listen.

I'm not familiar with them, but maybe someone else here is? This is another interview for Mxdwn?

Nice stuff...hearing echoes of Stereolab and Pell Mell.
