Loved this EP since it came out with Washed Out being one of the early chillwave founders! Within and Without, and Paracosm go to some wonderful places later down the line and I still listen to them regularly, but “Feel It All Around” still sounds fresh almost 15 years later. Great stuff, Kevin!
I'm hoping to visit Oregon and Portland one of these days. I've been to Washington and California, but never there. I hope it's not as weird as it is in "Twin Peaks" and "Gravity Falls".
I know I hope to visit Powell's Books if I do end up in Portland...
It is a fantastic, messy, vibrant city and I hope you love it! Powell's is almost worth it's own trip. It's a fun place to get lost in and lose track of time.
This is a small detail. But I noticed a few weeks ago while praising a book that "leave you wanting more" is a common statement of praise and is understood as praise but I noticed it can also be read as its opposite. It can mean "This thing is not as satisfying as I wish it were." Language is weird!
Just added this to my weekend! Thanks!
Right on! :)
One of my favorite records along with Paracosm
That one is great too!

Thank you! I picked up Within and Without not too long ago, and really like it.

I love Portland. Probably my third favorite US city after LA and SF. Thanks for the recommendation and great Portlandia thoughts.

It definitely is! Every time I think I've got language figured out, it makes sure to prove me wrong.
