One of the bands I find to be truly underrated. Their music went way beyond the 80s “pop” sound that the critics of the day usually attributed to them. I also think Colin Hay’s solo work is terrific.
100% agree. "Business As Usual" is solid all the way through, going way past Vegemite sandwiches and unannounced visitors.
I don't know a whole lot of hay's solo work, but in one of the last editions of Press Run, Eric Boehlert included his "When Does The End Begin?" It's fantastic.
