Nice...hadn't really paid much attention to OMD. That whole mid-80s period was a loss for me, pop culture-wise. I was finishing college (at 30) from '84-'86! That Virgin A&R quote was hilarious (At one Virgin meeting, the head of A&R asked us, 'Come on guys, are you [Karlheinz] Stockhausen or ABBA?' Andy and I said together, 'Can't we be both?'")---

How many meddling A&R depts kept butting into the art their signees were precisely acquired to create? It's like, "We signed you because we liked how you sound.....now, change!"

Good on the band for that far more brilliant response than the suit's over-generalizing need-to-feel-like-we're-busy question!

Right? I'm sure the answer to the question about A & R reps is "way too many."

I'd never heard this before--it's so fun! Makes me wanna dance. I have this weird nostalgia for the 80s, which is completely bizarre as I was born in the 90s, but there it is!

After the last 7-10 days, dancing feels like something we could all use. I'm glad you liked it!

I loved OMD, and esp the the OMDers. (chicks) We used "maneuvers in the dark" as a lame (we thought witty) euphemistic pick-up line. I'm sure your imagination can hear how cheesy they were!

You tease out the weirdest and coolest memories I would not have even remembered without you rattling the cage.

Lol. We always thought we were pretty slick, too. Bringing those memories to light is part of why I created this project!

I really did not know this song. Vienna, that's OMD for me. But, another delightful piece of ear candy. Thanks.
