I've never met anyone who liked the entire Radiohead catalogue. I adore The Bends and OK Computer, but they start to lose me after Kid A. Meanwhile, I've seen lots of young folk celebrate things like In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool, but they seem to regard the early stuff as a regrettable indiscretion.

Finally someone who gets how I feel about Radiohead!
Also, the New Pornographers are also on my list. Sort of in the same vein, do you like the band, Shout Out Louder? I saw them a while back and they were incredible.
As for Springsteen, I'm worried about him. This postponement of the Philadelphia shows because he has "taken ill" is concerning.
I'm not sure I've ever heard Shout Out Louder! I'll fix that ASAP. The news about Springsteen concerns me too. By all accounts, he's putting on a heck of a show every night; I wonder if it's finally caught up to him?
I saw that he fell, too, going up the stage stairs. I saw the video, and I could recognize the same arthritic stiffness I’ve been experiencing - his leg didn’t get up high enough to clear the step.
I don’t usually know any of the bands from the 2000’s and newer. But I have discovered some with your recommendations. Are you kidding? The Sweaty Nipples has to be one of the best band names ever! Plus their music is fairly 😎.
Ahhhh Springsteen! We had the opportunity to see him and the E Street Band twenty years ago for their Rising tour. In Portland! It was spectacular. So much energy!!
Radiohead never really landed with me either. Forgive me for saying this, but it feels like they’re reaching too far to try to be different. That is not to say that I won’t listen to any of their tracks, but overall, if I even hear their name, I think « meh ».
The Def Leppard Pyromania tour was my first ever live show at Hammersmith Odeon. Ears buzzed for a fortnight!
There are some examples of a double live album being a perfect document of a band. "Strangers In The Night" by UFO and "Live & Dangerous" by Thin Lizzy are a couple of examples.

Man, I wanted to like OK Computer; I really did. But I just...couldn't.
Thanks for the shout-out and kind words, Kevin!
Of course!

Damn... :(
I hope yours isn't too bad! Mine is slowly creeping in.
I wish I had been cool enough to get Pyromania around 1983, but I probably got a Trapper Keeper instead (with Michael Jackson on the cover, no less!).
I love Gizmo. More Gizmo pics here and on Notes, please. Tag me!
Trapper Keepers were the best! I never got a cool one, though. Mine were always plain or had a nature scene on the cover.
It's like you weren't even alive, you know?
Right? It was another in a long line of issues I had. lol.

Their shows were always so fun. Still makes me smile.

Oh nice! I might be off here, but I could swear I read that you and Brian went to a show for a first date. Was this the one?
