Great list that shines well-deserved light on some lesser known releases from the year so far! We've once again been spoiled with a load of awesome new albums this year, and I've now added Die Spitz and Timeout Room (what an album title from these guys, ha!). You know I wholeheartedly agree on YLT (they're coming to Santa Fe this fall and I gotta go!) and thanks for sharing the patchnotes piece.
Spoiled is a great way to put it! I know we've talked about it before, but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, and it just hasn't. I hoe it stays this way.
As for YLT, I hope you can make it! They put on a great show up here, and covered a lot of ground.
I nominate Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes with four consistently good songs. This was a good idea, long songs are a favourite of mine, get a groove and lock into it.
I've only heard about 1/3 of the albums you have on this list. Makes sense as like you say, so much good stuff, too few hours in the day. Or something like that. I really like The Tubs album a lot. If Patch Notes is similar to Sparklehorse as Reuben Salsa suggests, I think I'll really like that one.
This is a good reminder that I still need to check out Blues Lawyer and En Attendant Ana , as well as give more time to The Tubs and Yo La Tengo. There's so much released that it can be hard to keep up with it all. or easy to drop off of what you're listening to when new albums get released. Looking forward to Part 2.
Would love to know what you think once you get a chance to listen. It's definitely hard to keep up, but it's a good/fun problem to have. Part 2's coming this Wednesday!

Patch notes and Dead Meat are the two that instantly grab meat. Cheers Kev.
Check out Killer Mike's new one.
Patch Notes sound similar to Sparklehorse on first listen...love this!
I'm on it!

I thought I was keeping up with your stuff but there are still a few here I have yet to check out! Thanks for the second chance, LOL.
Lol. I feel the same way every time you put out a new post or pod. :)
