Sounds like a heavier version of a U2 song. I preferred the next track “Quit it” though.

I definitely here Jane's Addiction and U2 here. And I love the sentiment!

I imagine a lot of us still associate some songs with the 1-2 seconds of the preceding song that made it onto our tape(s).

Always enjoy meeting today's music makers; if not for you, Kevin, and a small handful of other 'Stackers, I don't know how I'd ever hear them! I'm not about to listen to current pop radio (shudder!)...Showalter has an interesting story. He lives here in Austin, too! That pic of him you included looks like the Texas hill country in the background!

My love of radio (besides being on it before Showalter was born!) extended to songs about radio...to the point of once making a mix cassette tape in the '80s, filled with songs (like this one 40 years hence!) about and celebrating radio! Wish I still had that tape (as well as a machine to play it on!)---at the very least, I wish I could remember all the songs (and, there were a lot!!) I had on it!

Very cool, as usual, Kevin! Thanks!

This would make for an awesome playlist! I wish I still had a tape player too. My last car had one-and in the end, it was one of the few things that still worked-but it’s been a bit…

One of the better songs on Hard Love, which I think is one of the weaker Strand of Oaks records if only because he has some absolute epic albums. Great choice for a feature!
