Great article. I've been a lifelong fan of Kate, who I consider the greatest artist to have ever lived. I still remember the excitement of getting the LP at Tower Records and rushing home to spend hours listening to every track.

This was a more controlled, mature Kate, still bold, still experimenting with new sounds (Trio Bulgarka), and still writing about the most unlikely of stories (like finding out the stranger she was dancing with was... Hitler).

It became her first Gold LP in the U.S., and another undeniable masterpiece in her catalogue.

And honestly? Anyone who can listen to This Woman’s Work without shedding a single tear needs to have their heart examined.

this is great... I don't know enough of Kate Bush's music. Thank you for sharing. Listening now, incredible! The Celtic vibes melting into middle eastern scales... wow.

Thank you! It’s a good record that I think gets overlooked in any Kate Bush discussion.

you’re welcome and thank you for bringing her to my attention… somehow she slipped through the cracks of my songwriting self education.
