Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a big part of my life that doesn't get talked about much. Not 'cause it's secret or anything, but kinda out of context to what I normally write about. I'd like to find more ways to work it in here & there.
Right on! I hope you find it interesting. We focused a lot of the front-facing part of travel/UX., which was awesome. One of these times, I'd like to go WAY deep into things like operations, networks (and network effects), and things like the EAS program. As a small example, JetBlue recently announced they're suspending their Buffalo-LAX nonstop.
Why? Is it part of their overall revamping of network strategy, or is it something simple, like a 2nd order effect of the runway construction this summer? Where will those lines of flying go (if anywhere)? And so on...
It was announced after the first round of cuts. I'd meant to mention it you when I first saw it. I'm not 100% sure if it's gone for good, or just while runway construction is happening. Without looking, that's gotta be the longest flight out of Buffalo?
I think I could cover books, music, and food for well over four hours—3.5 of which would revolve around the food part.
Nothing wrong with that!
This is very cool for writers like me who know you pretty well! I enjoyed the peek behind the curtain you gave me a while back .

I'm also a fan of boring stuff, or at least what other folks consider boring. They're dummies!
Okay, bookmarking this to listen later, over the weekend. I've been dying to hear you go deeper on aviation/air travel.

Funny you mention that. I have always wondered why JetBlue even had an LAX-BUF nonstop. The only one I know of. It worked for me, but seemed odd.
When the news of their cuts came down, it didn't mention that route. I think my nieces booked it for October. I wonder if they're screwed!
By the way, if you launched a sub-Substack that goes deep on this stuff i think it would do well.

As for a sub-Substack, I just might!
It probably is. Could there be a longer Mexico or Hawaii flight? I don't know.
You should do it!!
