Dude...I LOVE The Producers. They're one of my favorite bands ever. Their first two albums were amazing! "She Sheila" is an amazing song. I love the music video they did for it too. Keyboardist Wayne Famous gives a very fun performance in it.
What a pleasant memory jog, Kevin! Was never on their second album, but with '81 being my last year in retail records (Music Plus/Glendale, for those scoring at home, or, luckier still, in a tent on the beach), I had and enjoyed their debut, especially "What's He Got," their zenith in my view. In fact, I smell a possible "Audio Autopsy" looming for either/or that song/album!
I was actually waiting to see if inspiration might hit this morning (having nothing really pressing to otherwise work on), so let's see what happens! Hey, readers...not the first time Kevin has inspired me! Hop aboard "On Repeat" and subscribe, if you're not already! Thanks again, Kevin!🎵🎸🎶🤗👍
Oh man, what a tremendous deep dig! The Producers were one of my dad's favs back a little before my time. He and my mom won a radio station contest to have dinner with them and concert tickets for the first album tour. I still have the S/T debut in my collection from theirs. Have a picture of me as a baby with him wearing his t-shirt from that concert. I'll have to find it! Didn't know about the Wisco connection - nice set!
Oh, wow, they are new to me and I love them already.
Right on! I'm happy to hear it.

He's got some great moves- all the more so since he's wielding a keyboard while doing it!

Of course! And the Audio Autopsy is a great deep dive.

This is my kinda story! I wonder what the dinner was like?
I was expecting Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder....
Lol. Nicely referenced!
Nice one! It has a hint of Modern Love by David Bowie in it, I thought.
